Also, can you even avoid damage from Ogre Ambush entirely? I haven't been able to, no matter what armor I put on. Devourer would be fairer if you could select which equipments to feed it (or mb at least select 1-2 of the 3 possible ones). Why can't I just play till I lose due to my own ineptitude, rather than lose due to the game forcing me into impossible situations? But unfortunately the BS remains, just in a different form. Which is a shame because I thought the creators would have learned from HoF 1's Endless Mode shortcomings that had BS like that one curse with the rings which ended your run pretty much instantly. Getting farther than Adventure 10 basically requires godlike luck or inhumane skill. I realize Max Life was too OP in HoF1 Endless but surely making it almost COMPLETELY WORTHLESS in HoF 2 can't be the answer? Maybe have the cap at 150 or 200 life instead? As things are now, Max Life Gain Cards are so useless that I'd rather have gold or food instead (unless im below 100 life ofc). It's frustrating to lose several hours of playtime to randomized BS enemy combinations and frustrating limitations. The main problem for me is that you're pretty much capped at 100 life (well, not really, but kinda) so I'll just lose later boss fights because they're way too hard or downright impossible with 100 life (Wraiths). Like, how is that fair? Was this even playtested? IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE TO WIN THIS FIGHT? (I doubt it unless maybe /w very specific equipment) Starting from Adventure 7 or 8, you can get impossible encounters like a 3+ Brimstone Wraiths fight + tons of trash. Some general thoughts on Endless Mode: I have pretty much the same gripes with HoF 2's Endless Mode as with HoF 1's: At some points, it just boils down to sheer dumb luck (although here it's not quite as terrible as with the 1st game). ![]() Devinitely Devourer and Ogre Ambush, these cards can ruin runs singlehandedly.
